Ryan has been playing soccer for two weeks now and their team has yet to win a game. Last week's game was interesting. Ryan's team only had five players (out of 10) that showed up, so they had to play the entire game with no subs. Ryan made four goals, but their team still lost by one goal.
Yesterday's game was brutal, to say the least. The other team scored 8 goals to our 0. Ryan was pretty upset during the first half because our goalies tend to stand there and watch the ball go by. I know they are still learning, but it was still disappointing they didn't even try.
Anyway, after Ryan got a pep talk at halftime, he came back and played harder (he moped the first half and didn't try). They did much better. Ryan is an awesome forward.
Tonight is game three and we'll see if they do better. I hate being so competitive; it isn't helpful to my kids and makes me look like a bad person.
